They were saying "oh, no, you haven't read it, you don't know how it is," though I had read its Wikipedia article, Makani's blow-by-blow of the first part of the book, and the entire Sparkledammerung. So I forced my way through it, endured the 300+ pages of complete non-plotness, the flat characters, the inane writing. I then purged my mind with a marathon Buffy session. -.-

Oh, yeah. The number of "Twilight moms" out there is sick, too. And I have a number of GUY friends who think it's the best thing ever written, too. The whole phenomenon is just sad.

Performing a C-section with your vampire teeth.

All that is needing to be said about Twilight.

My wife is going to freak out. She hates Twilight SOOOOO much. She works at Hot Topic and everyday for the last...I don't know how long...every teenage girl comes into the store and asks something about Twilight. When are they getting the Twilight pillows? Do they have anything with Edward on it?

They even kept the mall open late one night for the Twilight release party. Imagine your Hot Topic completely packed full of insane 13-year old girls. My wife had to take pictures of these girls while they posed with a Edward cut-out...

For the sake of my wife's sanity, I hope this game never sees the light of day.

My (step?) aunt had asked me what I want for Christmas last year -- I responded with a "I don't care.. A book would be cool; any kind really". I got Twilight. I was humiliated to see I got Twilight in front of people, even my parents.

All I knew at that point were the comments from my friends (i.e. 'gayest book ever' 'you're gay if you read it', etc). My stepdad even had a laugh about me getting it. I couldn't really say much since I hadn't read the book -- then the gay movie came out. I watched it at the orthodontist while I got my monthly checkup completed. Twenty minutes of watching that shit had turned my brain to slime. I came out of the office stunned at how horrible the shit was, but also how it got good comments. Actual good comments.

I'm starting to lose grip on humanity's survival. Here's a timeline of humanity;

Monkeys -> Cavemen -> Smartfolk -> Fvcking Genius' -> Orgasmic fan girls -> Total human population giving up on reproduction and food to worship and praise the rapist, Edward, and the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GObag stoner chick.

Your wife has my utmost sympathy. Nobody should have to deal with crazed fangirls. Nobody. I mean, my fandoms have their share of crazies, but at least they don't do that.

My cousin - who is older than me - once called my mother to ask if I happened to have a copy of one of the Twilight books. So my mom pokes her head into my room and goes "Do you happen to have this book?"

I was rather slow, I went "...that sounds familiar..."

"Twilight."

I nearly went on a full rant before realising that my mother was still on the phone.

Incidentally, I haven't gone to a bookstore that doesn't have some huge Twilight display in ages.

If there is going to be a vampire-esk MMO, it best not be Twilight.

Vampire The Masquerade would be the only suitable medium for a vampire MMO... period. END OF STORY.

The comments on that article were hilarious.

"I dress up as a vampire every night and read twilight!"

"I wonder if I play this enough I’ll becum a real vampire like Edward!"

Talk about laugh...

LOL that is going to fail...

why can't people devote their time to developing movie/book MMO's that would actually be cool - like Harry Potter!

Actually if you think about it, Harry Potter would make an excellent MMORPG. Think about it -- you arrive as a brand new student to Hogwarts, and you are randomly selected to a House. After that you do quests from the professors and caretakers to obtain new magic spells and items. Eventually, after a certain level point, you gain the opportunity to become a Death Eater and your goal is to sneak into Hogwarts and kidnap students.

The books were good, never saw the movie. The books could have been one volume instead of 4. Will watch new moon because some sexy girls I know love it!
